Yes, generally. Most of these calculators already build in a waste allowance for cut material and spillage, but rounding your final order up to the nearest bag, yard, or panel avoids a second trip for a small shortfall.
Why do two calculators give different quantities for the same area?
Because they're solving different problems. A volume calculator (sand, stone) only needs area and depth. A layout calculator (fence, pavers) also depends on the size of the unit you're installing and the gaps between units, so the same footprint can need very different quantities depending on what you're building with.
Do these calculators account for delivery minimums?
